We are excited to announce a new addition to the curriculum at St. Albans High School. 

Dragon Fire Productions:  SAHS TV/Radio/Film/Editing program under CTE.

Program Description:

This is a new ground-breaking program for students enrolled in broadcasting classes learn how to produce content, work with digital and video cameras, and edit pictures and video using top-of-the-line equipment and software. Students get to work on Dragon Fire Productions crew, which is a student run broadcasting service of Kanawha County Schools. DFP works throughout the community to produce many shows including weekly newscasts, sporting events, concerts, competitions, and parades. The students are involved in every aspect of these productions including on-air and behind the scenes. These productions will air daily on our broadcasting system and various other outlets. Other productions and behind the scenes photos can be viewed on Dragon Fire Productions/SAHS Media’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages.

In our first two years we have been chosen for PBS Student Lab Reporting and have received many grants to help build our own top of the line Radio Station, TV Studio, Film dept., and Editing suites.
