Qualifications: To qualify a student must complete Algebra II and enroll in one higher-level math class. Student must have a 3.0 GPA and 3.5 (non-weighted) GPA in all high school math classes.
How to join: Submit application when notification is given.
Purpose: Mu Alpha Theta which is sponsored by the Mathematical Association of America is a non secret organization whose purpose is the promotion of scholarship in, and enjoyment and understanding of, mathematics among high school and junior college students.
Activities: Annual induction in early spring, distribution of "The Mathematical Log" periodically, promotion of WV Math League, and encouragement of the study of higher level mathematics.
